Here are different ways to determine the version of Windows in use:
1. From "System Properties":
- Right-click on the My Computer icon;
- Click (i.e. Left-click) on Properties;
- Under System (in the General tab), you will see the Windows version running on your computer.
2. From the Command Prompt:
- From Start | Run, enter "cmd" and click OK to open the Command Prompt window;
- Enter "ver" and press the [Enter] key;
- Type "exit" to close the Command Prompt window.
