Note: Strictly speaking, this is not a Linux Tip but it will help new EeePC [Linux] users follow our future tutorials.

To open a terminal window in the Asus EeePC 70x/90x/100x, you simply press the following key combination:

[CTRL]+[ALT]+[T]

Welcome to the world of command line!

If you are not familiar with shortcut keys (or key combinations), here are the steps:

-         You can first press the [CTRL] key & the [ALT] key at the same time first

-         While holding the [CTRL] & [ALT] keys, press the [T] key

That’s it for this quick tutorial. The way to press key combinations is universal in almost all modern operating systems such as Windows, Mac OS, Linux etc.
