The official results of my last JD exams have just been released. Last semester, I took Commercial Law, Company Law II, Equity & Trusts and Civil Procedure. I am relieved that I have finally completed all the required credits (71 in total). It had been a long and winding 3 years. Frankly, looking back…I had no idea how I survived law school especially my life was (and still is) a mess. But come to think of it, school was one thing that kept me sane and alive during these years. In a way, it gave me a purpose to focus on.

However, I am not celebrating at all. Now, I am at the crossroad and must decide my next steps. It could be another turning point of my life. Should I really proceed with the PCLL programme in September and get trained as a barrister or solicitor? Or should I do something else? What about moving back to Canada? Unfortunately, due to my family obligation (see one of my previous posts), I need to stay in Hong Kong for a while. I do want to visit Toronto during this summer but it is financially infeasible for me at the moment.

I do not plan to get a full time job in Hong Kong although I worked for a company for about 2 years during my JD study. It was hell to have a full-time job and to have a full-time workload of study (i.e. 3 courses or more per semester). At least for the moment, I am working part-time and will have until September to make up my mind. Meanwhile, I intend to generate more useful materials for this website and for my blogs.
