When filling out form entries, many users would make an entry, then use the mouse to click on the next entry...and repeat! This is a very time-consuming process.

As a general rule[1], here is what you can do:

  • Use the [Tab] key to go forward (i.e. moving from one entry to the next one); and
  • Use the [Shift]+[Tab] key to go backward (i.e. going back to the previous entry).

This should work in almost any programs (Windows, MacOS, Linux, Unix etc.) & web forms.
